This page is your gateway to NCED-developed and NCED-related educator resources helpful to the teaching of Earth Surface Sciences in both formal and informal settings. In addition to lesson plans, classroom activities, and other educator tools and resources, we provide links to the websites of other organizations with parallel or complementary educational missions. See the sidebar at right to access these resources.

NCED offers additional educational opportunities for teachers:

ESTREAM: our internship program for K-12 teachers. ESTREAM teachers join NCED for approximately one month, working with researchers at one of our facilities and producing educational materials for this website that interpret NCED research for K-12 teaching. This is a paid internship.

Tours of St. Anthony Falls Laboratory are available on a limited basis.

Suggestions for content and other links are welcomed - please email Karen Campbell, Director of Knowledge Transfer and Education.
